M-TT Textile Ink Coatings and Coated Fabrics

Like all other digital textile ink sets, M-Textile inks must have a matched component coated textile. Prior to
printing, fabrics must be coated with M-Textile Coating. M-Textile Coatings act as a catalyst that facilitates
the binding of the M-Textile pigments to the textile fibers. M-Textile Coatings have a softening effect on the
fabric, giving the finished product a soft hand.

M-Textile In-Stock Coated Fabrics

Available in approximately 60” widths, these popular and versatile fabrics are available for immediate shipment from our fabric partners.

	428-TI Cotton Sateen – 235 g/m2 This 100% cotton fabric has a satin weave and finish. Cotton sateen is a versatile fabric with applications in home furnishings, bedding, clothing, banners, table drapes and many other applications that require a satin-like appearance.
	465-TI Cotton Sailcloth – 282 g/m2 Cotton sailcloth is a plain woven, heavy weight textile known for its durability. Cotton sailcloth is used in home furnishings, upholstery and a wide-range of applications that require a durable, breathable fabric.
	700-5-T2 Polyester Banner Fabric – 127 g/m2 Polyester banner fabric is a durable synthetic textile with many applications for digital inkjet printing including pop-up displays, window decorations, banners, flags and backlit applications.
	338-60-T3 Nylon Flag Fabric – 108 g/m2 Nylon is the fabric of choice for outdoor flag applications. It is light enough to fly in the softest breeze, yet durable enough to withstand exposure to the elements. The open weave is ideal for two-sided applications.

M-Textile Coatings

For non-stock fabrics, Sawgrass offers M-Textile Coatings in 200 kg containers. Sawgrass can provide a list of approved toll coaters. Should you wish to use your own toll coater, Sawgrass will gladly work with them on the initial run to ensure proper application of the M-Textile Coating.

	PPM-TT T1 Coating T1 coating is made for cotton, cotton/poly blends, linen and other natural fibers, or natural and synthetic blended fabrics with a higher natural fiber content. Applications include natural fiber soft PPM-TT T1 Coated Fabric signage and apparel.
	PPM-TT T2 Coating T2 coating is formulated for all types of polyester and other fabrics that have higher synthetic fiber content. Applications include indoor and outdoor banners.
	PPM-TT T3 Coating T3 Coating is formulated for nylon lycra, silk and wool substrates. Applications include banners, scarves, ties and swimsuits.
	PPM-TT T4 Coating T4 Coating is optimized for nylon flag printing. It provides nylon flag printers with vibrancy, sharpness and a uniform two-sided printing effect.
